A Simply Elegant Yet Playful Design

Ruth Santer is a graphic designer, illustrator and retired middle school art teacher. Upon leaving the classroom, Ruth reinvented herself and launched a graphic design business as a solopreneur. She reached out to me for help in creating her website.

The design goal was to create a simple, straightforward and elegant website. One that was playful yet classic, with very simple animation. To that end, careful consideration was given to the fonts and minimal use of color. Animation was achieved via a rotating carousel of selected artworks presented on the home page. Curated images were used to help illustrate the process Ruth’s clients could expect in working with her.
